Next term our topic is Animals! We will be starting off by learning about dinosaurs– so exciting! See what you can find out about dinosaurs over the holidays. There are lots of super books and programmes about them and there are lots of fantastic places you can go to learn more about dinosaurs, I especially recommend…
The Natural History Museum: http://www.nhm.ac.uk – many hours spent there as a child inspired a life-long fascination with dinosaurs for me 🙂 They also have an exhibition on Butterflies which would support the learning we have done this term.
Other fantastic places to visit over the holiday include:
The British Museum: http://www.britishmuseum.org/visiting/family_visits.aspx
The Science Museum: http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/visitmuseum/holiday
The Museum of London: http://www.museumoflondon.org.uk//families/visit-museum-london
For some lovely outdoor learning slightly closer to home there is always…
Oasis Nature Garden: http://oasisplay.org.uk/come-and-play/nature-garden/
Roots and Shoots: http://www.rootsandshoots.org.uk/environment
Have a wonderful half-term full of exploring, reading, writing, sleeping, eating, singing, dancing, playing, talking, doing your homework, commenting on the blog and lots and lots of fun! I look forward to seeing you all on Monday 5th June!
Later on in the week when I have finished setting up the classroom I will post again with some pictures and challenges 🙂
